Ironic much?

September 26, 2007

Okay, so the President of Iran can come to our country (by invitation!) and say the disparaging things he did, and though people may hate what he says, will die for his right to say it uncensored.

In stark contrast, some High School kid cannot mutter the name of Jesus or God during a graduation speech or their diploma gets withheld.

A prominent public figure can plead guilty (of his own volition!) to a crime in a public airport bathroom, yet the ACLU will decry it and say his civil rights were trampled.

Yet, in still racially segregated Jena, LA, Mychal Bell still sits jailed though charges against him have been dropped and ( to my knowledge) nary an ACLU staffer is to be found nearby.

Please, someone enlighten me, what’s wrong with this picture??

Hmm. Im not a very religious person as you know, but I do find it odd that in a graduation speech a student can’t express themselves properly. You’d think that would fall under Free Speech and all..
As far as the Jena 6 thing goes, I still havent been able to figure out what it’s about. I’ve heard alot of political mumbo jumbo from all the big names but still havent heard the truth of what happened. Tho, thats probably part of problem.
